Welcome to our Farm!
We are a multigenerational family-run and owned farm on beautiful Vashon Island in Washington State, a short ferry ride from Seattle, Tacoma, and the Olympic Peninsula. We stock items from our farm and seek partnerships with local makers and growers to add more variety to our stand. We regularly add new products depending on the season.
Farmer John grew up farming chickens and instilled into his children the love of growing your own food. Each generation gives their time and handiwork to the Aeggys land, the fruits of this labor you will find in our stand! We invite you to shop our farm stand, watch the hens busy themselves, and enjoy the view of the Olympic mountain range.
Aaron McCoy
Aaron uses harvested fruits and vegetables as well as other chef favorites to cater weddings, holiday parties, and more! We farm with 130 chickens, using their manure to fertilize fruits and veggies you will find in the farm stand all year long and during the summer at the Vashon Farmer's Market. Check out the Vashon Island Grower's Association (VIGA) website for information about the farmer's market. A small flock of hens and a lifetime of creative sandwich making inspired Aaron to design the Aeggy's sandwich. If you have been to our farmer's market you know the Aeggy and if you haven't its worth the trip. You will often find Aaron behind the grill accompanied by his wife, Manda, and his hardworking son, Winter.
Zena McCoy
Zena McCoy brings passion and dedication to every aspect of her work. In 2020, Zena began her farming journey, cultivating a vibrant array of flowers, berries, and vegetables like peas and pumpkins. Alongside managing the farm, she runs a jewelry business called Semilla Designs, where she channels her creativity into crafting beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces. A graduate of Western University, Zena is supported by her loving husband, William, and their daughter, who shares her enthusiasm for farm life, helping with everything from planting to taking care of the chickens. Hardworking, committed, and deeply passionate about what she does, Zena truly is the backbone of the farm, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and that every product is of the highest quality.
